Author Mary Montague Sikes stands with an airplane much like the one flown by Berg Henley, a major character in her novel Eagle Rising.




Author and artist Mary Montague Sikes will sign copies of her award-winning novel, Eagle Rising, at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 5101 Main St. (in New Town), Williamsburg, VA, April 19, 6 to 8 p.m. Set in Sedona, Arizona, this mystery/suspense/romance has been nominated for the fiction category for the 11th Annual Library of Virginia Literary Awards. Sikes recently received a first place award in fiction for Eagle Rising in the Virginia Press Women 2008 Communications Contest.


A travel writer for many years, Sikes is author and artist for a coffee table book, Hotels to Remember. Her travel articles have appeared in the Buffalo News, Miami Herald, Chronicle Telegram, Caribbean Beat, Southern Boating, and many other newspapers and magazines. She is co-author of Published! Now $ell It! written for authors to guide them in promotion and marketing of their published books.
